Is there a list of controversial topics? I have to write an argument paper/speech.

The library has a couple of excellent databases for researching controversial topics and you can see a list of the topics they cover along with lots of articles and other materials about the topic that you could use for a college assignment.
- Opposing Viewpoints in Context
- Go to the Browse Issues page for all the topics covered
- Points of View Reference Center
- Scroll down below the search box to Explore topics.
If you see a topic that interests you, click on the topic name to get:
- a background essay that gives a topic overview
- articles that argue particular perspectives
- scholarly articles
- data
- news sources
- and more
Look for the Cite, Print and Save options on each article to store your sources and be able to reference them in your bibliography.
