My teacher said our book is on reserve in the library. What does that mean?
Answer
It means that your teacher has given you the option to borrow a copy of your textbook from the library instead of buying it or renting it.
Since so many students all need to read the same book, you can borrow a reserve book for:
- up to two hours at a time
- only in the library
Go to the Service Desk in the library and tell the person there that you need the book for your art history class, for example.
You may use the book in the library for up to two hours. There is a scanner near the Service Desk, and you may take the book across the hall where there are photocopiers, if you'd like.
