I need to read a chapter from a textbook. Can you scan it and email it?
Answer
Yes, we'd be happy to!
Requests are processed Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
A file, for reading on your screen, will be sent to your TC3 email address.
It will expire two hours after you open it.
Here's how to make a request:
First, look up the book in our catalog. Go to the Textbooks & Reserves search page or use the box below. Search by course number (for example ACCT101, ESL100), teacher's name or book title (e.g. Campbell's Biology).
When the book is listed on your screen, click on the Available at link.
In the yellow banner under Get It click Sign in.
Click TC3 Student, Faculty and Staff Login.
Type in your full TC3 email address. Remember that student email addresses and in @mymail.tc3.edu. Then click Next.
At the next prompt, provide your usual TC3 password, the same one that you use to sign into myTC3 and your web courses, for example, and then click Sign in.
The yellow banner will be gone and now under Get it you will see REQUEST. Click Request Chapter.
Add the details for the section you need - the name or number of the chapter or the start and end pages.
Check the box to accept the copyright rules and click SEND DIGITIZATION REQUEST.
