I have a source with multiple authors. How do I cite that in MLA format?
Answer
2 Authors:
In Works Cited:
In the Author field, list both authors in the order presented on the book or article. List the first author in reverse order (Last, First) then and the second author in normal order (First Last).
Ex: Gillespie, Paula, and Neil Lerner.
In-Text:
List both authors last names followed by the page number, if available.
Ex: (Gillespie and Lerner 25)
3 or more Authors:
In Works Cited:
In the Author field, give the first author listed in the usual reverse order (Last, First) followed by a comma and the phrase et al. (Latin for everyone else)
Ex: Summers, Cliff, et al.
In-Text:
Follow the same structure as the Works Cited, list the first author's last name followed by et.al.
Ex: (Summers et al. 78)
