I need a specific article and I'm not seeing it. What do I do? Can I still get it?

Answer

If we don't have the full text of the article you need, we will do our best to get it for you from another library. This is sometimes referred to as interlibrary loan. There is no charge to you and the article is delivered by email.

What follows is one way to request an article that we don't have. Be sure to Ask a Librarian about other options if this way doesn't work for you.

Use the OneSearch tab under Quick Search on the Library's home page.  Type in the title of the article, change the option in the drop-down menu to Title and click Find.

If you get the Oops! No records were found message, use the slider next to Search More Libraries..

If you follow these steps and still don't see the article you need, Ask a Librarian.

If your article is there, click on No Online Access.

On the next screen, under How to get it, click Sign in.

Click TC3 Student, Faculty and Staff Login.

Provide your TC3 email address and click Next.

Type in your usual password, the same one that you use for myTC3, and then click Sign in.

Now under How to Get it, the yellow banner will be gone and you'll see the request option. Click Request item.

On the next screen click Send Request.

When we have the article, you will get a link to it in a message that will be sent to your TC3 email.
