How do I find an empirical study for psychology?
Answer
An empirical study is a study that was conducted by observing measurable phenomena and deriving knowledge from actual experience rather than from theory or belief.
On the TC3 Library page, the best source for empirical research in psychology is the PSYCArticles database.
PSYCArticles allows you to limit it certain kinds of studies. Using the Methodology limiter, select EMPIRICAL STUDY. You can do this either at the beginning of the search, or using the limiters on the left side of the search results after you search.
Use the search bar to enter topics that interest you or fit the assignment. If you search for 'Anxiety' and limit by methodology to Empirical Studies, you will see articles that detail the findings of empirical research conducted about something related to anxiety.
