I found a good source and I want to find more like it.

Answer

If you found a relevant book or article for your topic, you can use these tips to find other relevant resources.  This can be especially helpful if you're having a hard time finding enough resources.  Librarians are here to help, too!  Please Ask a Librarian or use our contact information to get in touch. Most of our resources also have slide-out chat options so you can get immediate searching help during business hours.

Look at the complete/full record for the item. Sometimes the subject terms, keywords, or descriptors will help you brainstorm relevant search terms you didn't think about at first.

Search for additional works written by the same author.

Browse the bibliography or reference list at the end of the relevant book or article.  If you identify other sources you'd like to use, you can then either search for their availability through the Library or request a copy if the Library doesn't already have the sources.  Ask a Librarian for help!

Do a "cited references" or "related records" search.  Some databases offer the availability of "cited references" or "related records" searches to help you find other relevant resources (such as related articles, articles that cited the relevant source, or articles cited by the relevant source). A librarian can help you use these features.

And don't forget, you can Ask a Librarian for help too!
