I'd like to include a link to a library database in my course. How do I do that?

Answer

If you want to include a link to the library's catalog or a link to a library database, get the URL from our alphabetical list of databases.

Locate the database you are interested in by its subject, title, or type.  Then right-click on the title.

Click on Copy link address in the menu that pops up and then paste it where you need it.

  • Only current students, faculty and staff will be able to use these links.  Clicking on them will take people first to a logon screen asking for their TC3 credentials.  Using these links is compliant with copyright and license agreements.
  • If you want a link to individual articles, ebooks, or streaming videos you can. Use the permalink.
Oftentimes, librarians can make a search box widget that you could embed in your web course and your students could start searching a database for library articles and ebooks directly from within your course.  Ask a Librarian.
